About Us
We maintain articles of incorporation, non-profit tax-exempt federal ID, and Right To Solicit.

First Watch Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is foster-based (meaning, cage-free) consisting of a small board of directors operating out of Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Our Mission is to perform Trap-Neuter-Return for the community and feral feline overpopulation, rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in crisis and inspire a community through education and demonstration of the animal-human bond. We always have an agent available to assist with someone who has stray cats free-roaming their area and doesn’t know where to begin, and we make sure that adoptable animals are taken off the street, fixed, offered internal and external parasite preventatives and vaccinated before finding them loving homes.
Our Founder – The drive to rescue was instilled very early on for FWR Founder and President Autumn Davis. Growing up in the country, animals were often abandoned on her dirt road. As little girl she would be outside and notice a vehicle speeding away, leaving behind a dog to pace up and down – sometimes for hours, waiting for its owner who would never return. During that first experience Autumn would later hear from her daddy that the dog was found dead in the road, hit by another speeding vehicle. After that tragic event she and her family decided it would never happen again – and they began to take quick action every time, recording license plate numbers whenever possible and rallying up the animal for a trip to the humane society. This lit a fire in her soul and set her on the path to to advocate for animal welfare.
It feels pretty good, to have made such an impact since that awful day.
You can make a difference, too!
